Put Yourselves In My Shoes – Customer Services Training Videos
Hosted by Watchdog’s Matthew Alwright, we produced an earthy, gritty film that looked at the issues regarding ‘customer service.’
Job Centre Plus staff work in an extremely challenging environment where a complete cross-section of society seeks help in finding work.
We used findings from a staff survey we conducted as the platform to discuss key issues of customer service.
Secretly filmed scenarios explored the broader issues of customer services, good and bad, in an informal manner that facilitated excellent staff discussions.
Our brief was to deliver a down-to-earth video series that could be viewed during the weekly staff training session, making staff more aware of how they relate to jobseekers. Using Matthew as our host, we were able to explore the role that Job Centre plus staff play in helping people into work through a number of dramatised scenarios. The film was very well received and resulted in a marked improvement in the customer experience
