UNITED FOR SUCCESS – STRYKER OVERSEAS MEDICAL SALES CONFERENCES & AWARDS CEREMONY
THE BRIEF
Comshows was commissioned by Stryker Corporation, medical technology giant specialising in orthopaedics to deliver their annual International Sales Conference and Awards Ceremony with Gala Dinner at MGM Grand, in Las Vegas over 5 days for 1,500 medical sales reps.
KEY Considerations
• | Key objective to effectively convey highly technical materials on new products and revolutionary surgery procedures in a non-surgical environment to an audience of 1500 medical sales rep experts as part of their professional development programme and KPI’s. | |||||||
• | Encouraging attendance, and cohesion amongst country groups in this international session with opportunity to hold individual meetings of 500-600 people | |||||||
• | Awards for top sales personnel for each country 50+ so need to keep energy levels raised and entertain those not directly involved |
Our Strategy
To encourage audience attendance, Comshows produced a video teaser of the highlights of Las Vegas, comments from board members and CEO along with taster of training opportunities including mini snippets of a new orthopaedic procedure live from operating theatre which was e-mailed as part of invitation process. This strategy worked and 95% attendance sign-up achieved from all core countries.
Comshows assisted in developing a varied programme for the sales conference with full technical provision of live link up’s of surgical operations through video conferencing. To cater for this International audience – simultaneous translation service was provided throughout sales conference and awards conveyed in French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese.
To provide a varied social programme including hospitality options in Las Vegas, coordinated by a country regional contact. Comshows proposed a format of three separate awards nights to cater for each host country eg Europe, Japan / Asia and USA to promote full recognition with more intimate numbers and entertainment targeted to cultural preferences. We also produced a final gala awards dinner which provided the opportunity for key international workforce to unite and network once again.
