ExperientialOur ‘Learning To Be Safe’ story
There is a compelling story to betold about escaping the lure of extremism and violence – and Comshows found a way to tell it to young people in a way that was relevant and unpatronising. Working for the Metropolitan Police and Department of Education, we used modern resources to make the message resonate with the young, the disaffected and the vulnerable.
Our role ran from initial ideas to multiplatform delivery. Digital networking seeded the message, while social media channels connected with people on the front line. Live drop in surgeries provided places to talk, while hands-on exhibitions featured video games, subtly educating players about ways to stay safe and away from destructive temptation.
Theatre events from youth groups gave credibility to messages evolved by a steering group of police, social services, youth groups, faith groups and other interested parties.
